King’s Award presented to Stainless Games
16/08/2024
Stainless Games Ltd was proud to host His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Susie Sheldon, this week to officially present the King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade. Patrick Buckland and Matt Edmunds received the award on behalf of Stainless Games in their role as company directors.
Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, Stainless received the award for exceptional growth over a three-year period in international trade. Having worked with global companies like Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Universal Pictures, Stainless has earned a reputation for delivering quality work at the highest levels.
The event was held at Stainless’ HQ in Newport with some 50 staff in attendance. Everyone enjoyed some light refreshments afterwards to join in the celebrations of the tremendous achievement.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, given only to companies or individuals who are outstanding in their field. Previously known as the Queen’s Awards to Industry, the first Awards were given in 1966.
Patrick Buckland, Stainless co-founder and CEO, said:
We’ve always been based in the Newport, IW area, and we’ve been in the High Street for the last twenty years. I set this company up to be a model employer and to give something back to the community in which I grew up. We’ve become an established part of the Island ecosystem, something that makes me truly delighted as a passionate supporter and life-long resident of our precious island.
I’m seriously proud of the fact that we have brought many tens of millions of foreign currency into the UK economy and will continue to do so.
I want to thank all the staff of Stainless, now and over the years, for their hard work and diligence. This award directly reflects on all of us at Stainless, and everybody should be hugely honoured by it. We all feel proud, especially as this award is a Royal endorsement of our work by the King himself.
I’d also like to thank all our families – mine in particular – for their steadfast support during this journey, which has not always been easy. This award, however, helps make it all worthwhile.
